Riding Lessons
Beginning and Intermediate riding lessons in Chino.
We start on the ground, groom, and prepare the horse to ride.
We always start in an arena to learn the basics of riding.
As students develop confidence we start riding around the ranch, and depending on the students interest we either increase knowledge with precision riding or start trail riding.

If you have never ridden a horse you might not know how to prepare....,
First Riding Lesson
Wear comfortable clothing such as jeans, boots, or other closed toe shoes.
Under 18 years old must wear a helmet. (You can find an equestrian helmet on Amazon.)
Student
In your first lesson you are taught to greet, halter, and handle the horse. We go over safely mounting and dismounting, and the basics of riding.
Training
We start where you are, improve your communication with your horse, your timing, and your understanding of pressure and how to effectively apply it.

From Ground to Saddle: Building a Trusting Relationship with Your Horse (for people with a Horse)
The Training Method:
We start where you are.
Step 1: Determine your goals. (If you don't know, we help you figure it out, or we just work on having fun with you and your horse while developing the two of you to higher levels.)
Step 2: We start planning and training you and your horse to head down your path to a happier, healthier, and more harmonious relationship.
Step 3: You lower your resistance to learning something new—a new technique, a new game, a new concept, or an idea for connecting and communicating with your horse.
Training Your Horse
Through training, we create a safe, behaved, balanced, happy horse that is excited and willing to be with us and you.
We start with foundation creates, create it well and build it up. A good foundation starts on the ground…, a horse having good ground manners is a safer horse. We teach lightness and politeness, desensitization, get the horse under saddle, and refine movements when the horse already under saddle. For some more advanced horses we start and shape liberty work.

My horse was 17 yr when I bought him. He had ,I’m guessing, 7 owners before me. He was used for a lot of different horse events. I myself struggle with confidence. Lack of confidence made my horse not look to me for leadership which in turn made us both fearful. I found myself questioning whether I should even own him anymore. There wasn’t a lot of enjoyment back then, just mostly anxiety on my part. Renetta worked with my horse and I from the ground up. Renetta is an excellent trainer as she completely assesses horse and rider prior to training. Her individual training is custom tailored to each student/horse. She uses foundational techniques, rider and horse biomechanics, and takes into consideration the personality of the horse and rider. She trains beginner to advanced human and horse.
